This describes what this site actually stores, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. It was written from the code that runs hvxmusic.com, not from a template, so if something is not listed here it is because the site does not collect it.
Your first name, last name and email address. Your password is never stored. What we keep is a one-way derivation of it, salted per account, so the password itself cannot be recovered from our records, by us or by anyone who obtained them.
The products, quantities and prices, an order reference, and the date. Once payment succeeds we also store the shipping name, street address, city, state, postal code and phone number you entered on the payment page, because we cannot post a parcel without them.
The name, email address, subject and message you type into the contact form.
Your card details do not reach this website. Payment is handled on a page hosted by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered there and are never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and nothing that could be used to charge your card again.
The site keeps your sign-in session in your own browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is not readable by other sites, and is cleared when you sign out.
Account details are kept while your account exists. Orders are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to hold records of a sale. Contact messages are kept until we clear them.
Write to info@hvxmusic.com from the address on the account and we will remove it: the login, the stored password derivation, and every open session.
Past orders are not deleted. Instead your name and email are stripped from them and replaced with a marker, so the sale still exists in our books with no person attached to it. We are required to keep records of transactions, and a revenue figure that quietly changes because someone asked to be forgotten is not an accounting record.
This site is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people who already have accounts will be sent by email.
